About the Playwright, Composer, Lyricist

Frank Anthony D'Agostino has studied piano and music composition for 14 years in New York, partially on a grant through the Albany League of Arts.

His nationally released album Moments was nominated Album of the year by MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets). He is a member of ASCAP, and the Dramatist Guild. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing with a minor in Theater from Siena College in Loudonville, NY. Mr. D'Agostino has written and produced many full- length musical plays since graduation.

His musical Vivianna based a modern day version of La Traviata, was given a workshop at the dramatist Guild Inc., in New York City last year. Vivianna opened in New York Off-Broadway, last May at the Grand Theatre at the Producer’s Club Theatres west 43-rd street New York.

Vivianna was nominated for a 2004 Perry Award for outstanding achievement in new musical theater (Best Original Musical) in the state of NJ.

His musical, My Heinous Life recently finished a successful run at the William S. Buck Memorial Theater in New Hope Pa. and the Eatontown Playhouse in Eatontown NJ.

My Heinous Life has also been nominated for a 2002 Perry Award for best original Musical.

Cravings, played at the Phillips Mill Playhouse in Pennsylvania, the Kraine Theater in New York City. Also, several show cases of his music entitled If the Boy Is Prettier Than You have played at Danny's Skylight room, and Judy's in New York City, and Odett's in New Hope Pa. to excellent reviews.

Mr. D'Agostino is an accomplished figure skater and coach. He is a United States Figure Skating Association Gold Medallist and has skated in the 1993 and 1994 United States Opens to his own original musical compositions.

His most recent musical Cold As Ice, a musical on ice, about the world of figure skating will go into workshop production fall of 2006.

Mr. D'Agostino is a member of the Dramatists Guild, Inc. where he has appeared as a panelist and moderator several times discussing, and playwriting and producing. (At the Dramatist Guild young composer, Lyricist & Playwright Forum).

HIS ALBUM MOMENTS WAS NOMINATED AS ALBUM OF THE YEAR AT THE 1999 MAC AWARDS IN NEW YORK CITY.
